Key Takeaways

  • On Oct. 8, 2026, Gametime’s fee on the cheapest seated listing was a median 16.3% of the seller’s price across seven games.
  • TickPick says it does not add buyer fees at checkout. Its User Agreement also mentions transaction fees.

  • Different fee models do not tell you which total is lower, so compare the final checkout total before you pay for the same seat.

Gametime vs TickPick: the short answer

On Gametime, the fee on the cheapest seated listing was a median 16.3% of the seller’s price at seven NFL, NHL and NBA games on Oct. 8, 2026, already included in the price shown. TickPick says it does not add buyer fees at checkout, and on Trustpilot that day it scored 4.7 from 5,507 reviews to Gametime’s 4.4 from 10,090.

TicketScanner has 0 TickPick price records, so we cannot say which site was cheaper for the same game. Sellers list different tickets at different prices on each site, so the fee model alone does not settle it. Check both, and compare the final checkout total before you pay.

Sales tax sat outside these totals in the listing data. At the Green Bay game, a $477.21 ticket carried $18.79 in sales tax; at the Washington, D.C., game, a $73.92 ticket carried $1.08.

Gametime does not publish a rate, and its terms say it may add or change fees at any time. These numbers describe one day.

The cheapest listing is not always a seat. At both Cowboys games in the table, Gametime’s cheapest listing was a standing-room ticket: $19 at the Buccaneers game and $31 at the Cardinals game, against $63 and $99 with fees for the cheapest seat.

How TickPick’s fees work

TickPick says it does not add buyer fees at checkout. Its User Agreement, last updated Aug. 5, 2026, lists “Transaction Fees,” described as platform, transaction or other commissions for using the platform, as something a purchase may include. We did not find a seller commission rate on the official TickPick pages we checked.

We could not view a fee breakdown on TickPick on Oct. 8, 2026, so everything above about TickPick is what TickPick states, not something we measured.

What reviewers said, in their own words, which we did not verify:

  • TickPick, five stars: “Easy to get the best tickets. No surprise charges.”
  • TickPick, one star: “Never received my tickets and have spent 6 weeks arguing to get my money back.”
  • TickPick, one star: one seller said a payout took almost two months.

How to compare Gametime and TickPick for your game

Find the same game, section and number of tickets on both sites, check that the cheapest listing is a seat, and compare the final checkout total before you pay, including tax and delivery. The full checklist is in which ticket site has the lowest fees. For other sites, see Vivid Seats and Gametime alternatives.

How we measured

On Oct. 8, 2026, we read each site’s own help, fee and terms pages and recorded what they state about fees. We also opened ticket listings without an account and without buying anything. Gametime shows the fee split on its listing page: we recorded the seller’s price, fees and total for 1,754 seated listings across seven NFL, NHL and NBA games. On StubHub, SeatGeek and Vivid Seats, we chose the cheapest seated listing for two tickets at five NFL, NBA and NHL games and went to the first checkout page, stopping at the email field without entering anything. StubHub and SeatGeek showed the ticket price and fees as separate lines there; Vivid Seats showed only the fee-included price. We could not view a fee breakdown on Ticketmaster or TickPick. Fee percentages here are fees divided by the seller’s price, per ticket, before tax.

On Oct. 8, 2026, we recorded each site’s public rating and review count on Trustpilot, the US App Store and Google Play. We then read the 60 most recent English reviews on Trustpilot and sorted each one by its main complaint (delivery or transfer, refunds, fees at checkout, invalid tickets, customer service, app bugs, seat different from the listing, account or payment) or as positive. Sixty reviews cover only a few days, so they show what people are writing now, not the whole history. Reviews are the writers’ own claims, which we did not verify. App Store review text could not be retrieved, so it is not included.

TicketScanner records the lowest listed price (the get-in price) for each tracked game once a day, around 9 a.m. ET, on each site it compares. These are the prices the sites show with their fees included; depending on the site and the state, sales tax may already be in the price or added at checkout. We compared Gametime and Vivid Seats only when both sites had a price for the same game on the same day. Each of those matches is one daily price check, and percentages use daily price checks, not games, as the base. Different time windows include different games, so compare windows with care. Listings named as season tickets or parking were excluded, but the lowest listing can still be a standing-room or other non-seat ticket. Source: TicketScanner price data.

Data as of Oct. 8, 2026 (prices recorded through Oct. 7, 2026).

Added for this article: Gametime’s price records run July 6 to Sept. 26 for MLB, July 9 to Oct. 7 for the NFL and Aug. 29 to Oct. 7 for the NHL and NBA.
