Vivid Seats reviews: the short answer
Vivid Seats has a 4.3 out of 5 rating on Trustpilot from 121,506 reviews and a 4.75 rating on the App Store. All 60 of its newest Trustpilot reviews were invited, short and mostly positive, so they say little about orders that go wrong. On price, TicketScanner price data shows it was lower than Gametime more often for NFL and NHL games, and less often for NBA and MLB.

Vivid Seats on Trustpilot
Vivid Seats has 121,506 Trustpilot reviews, 38,342 of them from the last 12 months. That is more than the other four sites we checked combined.
The stars: 70.3% five-star and 10.5% one-star. Trustpilot shows that Vivid Seats replied to 94.5% of its negative reviews, 4,107 of 4,345, and that it takes about 24 days on average to reply.
Who writes Vivid Seats’ recent reviews
Every one of the 60 newest English reviews arrived through a Vivid Seats invitation. None was written by someone who came to Trustpilot on their own. Invited reviews come in fast enough that these 60 covered only Oct. 7 to Oct. 8, 2026. Most were a few words long, and Vivid Seats posted a reply on 52 of them.
At the other sites, uninvited reviews skewed to one or two stars:
| Site | Uninvited reviews in latest 60 | One or two stars |
|---|---|---|
| Vivid Seats | 0 | 0 |
| StubHub | 20 | 19 |
| SeatGeek | 16 | 15 |
| Gametime | 4 | 3 |
| TickPick | 3 | 2 |

Companies are allowed to invite buyers, and invited buyers are real customers. Score differences between the sites may partly reflect how many reviews each company invites. To see how Vivid Seats handles problem orders, read the one-star reviews on its page, not only the newest.

Most complaints involved problems accessing or receiving tickets. A Trustpilot reviewer wrote, “I have to download the vivid app AND Ticketmaster to download my tickets.” Other reviewers said they could not find their tickets or a parking pass in the app, and one wrote, “Did not receive electronic order.” One reviewer said they had to pay three times.
The most common positive theme was price. A Trustpilot reviewer wrote, “The price included all fees and the app was easy to use.” Vivid Seats event pages state that all prices include fees, and Vivid Seats does not publish a fee rate. Sales tax can still be added at checkout, depending on the state. Our Vivid Seats fees guide covers what is in the shown price.
Vivid Seats app reviews
On the US App Store, Vivid Seats rates 4.75 from 403,929 ratings, with 2.4% one-star. On Google Play it rates 4.7 from 38.3K reviews and has 5M+ downloads. All five sites rate between 4.66 and 4.86 on the App Store, where apps can ask users for a rating. App Store review text was not available to us.
Beyond reviews: how Vivid Seats prices compared
TicketScanner price data shows something reviews cannot: how often Vivid Seats had the lower fee-included get-in price than Gametime for the same game on the same day.
| League | Daily checks (games) | Vivid Seats lower | Gametime lower |
|---|---|---|---|
| NFL | 8,327 (263) | 58.8% | 31.6% |
| NHL | 38,659 (1,066) | 45.4% | 36.2% |
| MLB | 3,780 (244) | 34.2% | 44.5% |
| NBA | 16,993 (940) | 30.3% | 45.2% |
| League | Period | Same price |
|---|---|---|
| NFL | July 29 to Oct. 7 | 9.6% |
| NHL | Aug. 29 to Oct. 6 | 18.3% |
| MLB | July 12 to Sept. 26 | 21.3% |
| NBA | Aug. 29 to Oct. 5 | 24.5% |
Source: TicketScanner price data, 2026. Percentages use daily price checks as the base. Leagues are not combined.
Across the four leagues, that is 67,759 daily price checks on 2,513 games. Most NBA checks are listed prices for upcoming games: only 11 NBA games had been played, all preseason. NFL games include the preseason.
Timing changed which site was lower more often
A month or more before completed games, Vivid Seats was lower more often: in 72.1% of only 86 NFL checks on 15 games, and in 62.8% of 323 NHL checks on 62 games.
In the final three days (game day and the three days before), Gametime had the lower price more often in every league. For NFL regular-season games only, its lead was smaller: 48.9% against Vivid Seats’ 41.6% of 178 checks on 56 games. The 36 NFL preseason games leaned harder to Gametime. Completed NHL games in the data were mostly played Sept. 19 to Oct. 5, 2026.
| Window (completed games) | Daily checks | Vivid Seats lower | Gametime lower |
|---|---|---|---|
| NFL, over 30 days out | 86 | 72.1% | 22.1% |
| NFL regular season, final 3 days | 178 | 41.6% | 48.9% |
| NHL, over 30 days out | 323 | 62.8% | 21.4% |
| NHL, final 3 days | 372 | 35.2% | 51.6% |
| Same 62 NHL games, final 3 days | 165 | 49.1% | 41.2% |
Source: TicketScanner price data. The rest of each row is the share where both sites had the same price.
These time periods cover different groups of games. In the 62 NHL games tracked both a month out and in the final three days, Vivid Seats was still lower more often in the final three days. So the late Gametime lead shows up across all games but not within the same NHL games. Check both sites, early and again close to the game.
Teams where Vivid Seats was usually lower
For New York Rangers home games, Vivid Seats had the lower get-in price in 85.1% of 1,231 daily checks. For Brooklyn Nets home games it was 77.6% of 522 checks; those are listed prices for upcoming games. See the Rangers and Nets pages for current prices.
The gap was usually small
Lower more often does not mean much lower. In NFL checks, the median gap between the two sites was 3.9%, or $4. The lowest listing can also be standing room: at two Cowboys games we checked on Oct. 8, Gametime’s cheapest listing was standing room. Compare the seat, not only the price. Our Gametime vs Vivid Seats comparison has the full breakdown, and which ticket site has the lowest fees covers checkout totals.
How we measured
> On Oct. 8, 2026, we recorded each site’s public rating and review count on Trustpilot, the US App Store and Google Play. We then read the 60 most recent English reviews on Trustpilot and sorted each one by its main complaint (delivery or transfer, refunds, fees at checkout, invalid tickets, customer service, app bugs, seat different from the listing, account or payment) or as positive. Sixty reviews cover only a few days, so they show what people are writing now, not the whole history. Reviews are the writers’ own claims, which we did not verify. App Store review text could not be retrieved, so it is not included.
> TicketScanner records the lowest listed price (the get-in price) for each tracked game once a day, around 9 a.m. ET, on each site it compares. These are the prices the sites show with their fees included; depending on the site and the state, sales tax may already be in the price or added at checkout. We compared Gametime and Vivid Seats only when both sites had a price for the same game on the same day. Each of those matches is one daily price check, and percentages use daily price checks, not games, as the base. Different time windows include different games, so compare windows with care. Listings named as season tickets or parking were excluded, but the lowest listing can still be a standing-room or other non-seat ticket. Source: TicketScanner price data.
